When Hayward was young, he would play kickball with the other kids on the estate. Children started to go missing, which caused the turnout for his game to start dwindling in size. Sometimes no one turned up at all. His mother banned him from staying out past dark and bought a TV to entertain him.[1]
Hayward Visits[]
Hayward stands outside his mother's building with Carpenter. His apartment is sixteen windows up, four windows across. Her light's on. Hayward sent someone disguised as a census taker a few months ago to check on her. His picture is on every war, depicting him as a war hero.[2]
